Founded in 1987, Northern Crane Services ("NCS") is the largest independent full service crane-operating company in Western Canada. Majority owned by Canadian investors, NCS prides itself on being one of the most versatile and quick to mobilize crane service providers in the business. With over 25 years experience, NCS has encountered every conceivable challenge associated with the business while learning new and better ways to address unique circumstances.
Plant maintenance and shutdowns are one of the specialties of NCS; it has successfully performed these services for most of the large energy companies in the Western Canada.
NCS has a knowledgeable and dedicated workforce of employees committed to serving its customers. In addition to its employees, NCS has a diverse fleet of over 100 cranes, ranging in size from 8 tons to 1,500 tons. The Company's fleet consists of carrydecks, picker trucks, folding tower cranes, crawler cranes, rough terrain cranes and all terrain cranes. In 2006, Northern Crane joined NC Services Group, to continue its growth strategy throughout Western Canada and to expand NCS's fleet, service areas, and service offerings.
